Campbellsville High School softball team made history on Saturday, March 26, and is now selling T-shirts to mark the event.

For the first time ever, the team won the All “A” fifth region championship, and now advances to the All “A” state tournament.

CHS defeated Green County – for the first time in 13 years – to advance to the championship game.

In the championship matchup, CHS defeated Bethlehem by a score of 4-2.

Weston Jones is the head softball coach. Assistant coaches are Allison Lawless and Danielle Morris.

Championship T-shirts are now on sale and feature the CHS logo on the front, with players’ and coaches’ names on the back.

Sizes adult small through XL are $10. Adult XXL are $12 and XXXL are $14.

Orders are due by Friday, April 1.

The All “A” state tournament is set for Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, at Jack Fisher Park in Owensboro.

The tournament starts with pool play on Saturday. CHS will play at 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.

If the CHS team advances to Sunday’s games, it will play at 8:30 a.m. Second round games are at 10 a.m. and the championship game is at noon.

The CHS softball team will travel to Florida to play in the Fort Walton Beach Bash on April 2-8.
