Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · CMS, CHS cross country teams bring home awards


Campbellsville middle and high school cross country teams competed at the Cow Days Cross Country Festival Race in Green County on Thursday, Sept. 15, and brought home several awards.

Medals – in the form of cow tags – were given to those who finished in the Top 10 in each race.

For the CMS team, fifth-grader Karleigh Oliver finished in seventh place out of 30 runners, at 13:44.

Eighth-grader Arren Hash finished in fifth place out of 43 runners. His time was 11:05.

Sixth-grader Chase Hord finished in 13th place, seventh-grader Seth Hash was 16th, eighth-grader Jonathan Sparks was 17th, fifth-grader Caleb Holt was 22nd and eighth-grader Jake Dicken finished in 25th place.

For the CHS team, senior Kyrsten Hill finished in fifth place out of 37 runners, with a time of 25:26.

CHS freshman Gracyne Hash finished in 11th place, at 27:53.

CHS sophomore Ian McAninch finished in 15th place out of 49 runners. His time was 21:43. And sophomore Evan McAninch was 26th place, with a final time of 23:07.

Steve Doss is the CMS and CHS cross country coach.

The team will compete again on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Miller Park walking track in Campbellsville.
