Multiple Teams · CHS boys’ golf team beats Nelson County


Campbellsville High School boys’ golf team defeated Nelson County on Thursday, Sept. 15, at Campbellsville Country Club.

The team will compete in region competition on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Maywood Country Club in Bardstown.

CHS boys’ team competes in the fourth region, against Adair County, Anderson County, Bardstown, Bethlehem, Boyle County, Burgin, Casey County, Danville, East Jessamine, Garrard County, Green County, Lincoln County, Marion County, Mercer County, Nelson County, Russell County, Taylor County, Thomas Nelson, Washington County and West Jessamine.

Jim Ward is the CHS boys’ golf coach.

CHS girls’ team will also compete in the fourth region tournament, against teams from Adair County, Allen County-Scottsville, Barren County, Bowling Green, Caverna, Clinton County, Cumberland County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Glasgow, Green County, Greenwood, Hart County, Logan County, Metcalfe County, Monroe County, Russellville, South Warren, Taylor County, Todd County Central, Warren Central and Warren East.

CHS sophomore Abbie Dicken is the only player on the girls’ team this year. She will compete in the region tournament on Monday, Sept. 26, at Glasgow Country Club.
