Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · CHS track teams pick up wins


Campbellsville High School track teams have picked up several wins this season.

In the first meet of the season, on Thursday, March 16, in Green County, the girls’ team finished in fifth place.

CHS freshman Taliyah Hazelwood finished first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

The girls’ 4×200 relay team, made up of CHS freshmen Jasmine Coro, Isis Coleman and Taliyah Hazelwood and Campbellsville Middle School seventh-grader Kitana Taylor, finished in second place.

CHS sophomore Natalie Caldwell finished first in shot put.

In boys’ action, CHS sophomore Daesean Vancleave finished third in the 100-meter dash.

At Taylor County High School on Thursday, March 23, the girls’ team finished in second place.

Hazelwood finished first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

CHS freshman Zoe McAninch finished third in the 800- and 1600-meter run.

Caldwell finished first in shot put. And CHS freshman Katelyn Miller finished first in the discus throw.

For the boys’ team, Vancleave finished second in the 100-meter dash.

CHS junior Ethan Lay finished third in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

And CHS sophomore Evan McAninch finished third in the 1600-meter run.

And on Thursday, April 13, in Green County, the girls’ team finished in fifth place out of nine teams.

Hazelwood finished first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Coleman finished fifth in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 200-meter dash.

Zoe McAninch finished third in the 1600-meter run.

The girls 4×100 relay team, made up of CMS seventh-graders Aun Daya Coleman and Kitana Taylor and CHS freshmen Isis Coleman and Taliyah Hazelwood, finished first. Caldwell finished sixth in shot put.

The boys’ team finished in ninth place.

Vancleave finished fifth in the 100-meter dash.

CHS sophomore Ian McAninch finished fourth in the 3200-meter run.

And CHS sophomore Tristan Johnson finished sixth in the high jump.

The teams will compete on Thursday, April 20, at Green County High School for the Heartland Conference meet.

The last meet of the season is set for Friday, May 5, in Green County at 6 p.m. ET.
