Campbellsville High School girls’ golf player Abbie Dicken has once again qualified to compete in the All “A” state tournament.
Dicken, a junior, competed in the All “A” fifth region tournament on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Green County Country Club.
She was one of four individual competitors in the tournament, with the top two advancing to the state competition.
Dicken finished the nine-hole competition in 44 strokes, which was the lowest score of the four competitors.
The other three competitors were from the Bethlehem team.
Dicken is the only girls’ golf player at CHS this year, so she competes as an individual.
She also qualified for the state competition last year, placing in the top half of the competitors.
Green County, the only team participating in the tournament, received first place.
The All “A” state tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9, at Woodson Bend Resort in Bronston.
Dicken will compete again on Monday, Aug. 21, in Adair County.
Ashley Goodin is the girls’ golf coach.
