Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · CHS cross country team competes in Heartland Conference meet

Campbellsville High School cross country team competed in the Heartland Conference meet on Thursday, Oct. 12.

Several runners brought home medals and set new personal records.

In the middle school boys’ race, sixth-grader Caleb Holt finished in 20th place, at 13:01, which is a new personal record.

In the middle school girls’ race, seventh-grader MaCayla Falls finished in 17th place, at 14:49, which is a new personal record.

Campbellsville Elementary School third-grader Baylee Pike finished in 26th place, at 15:52.

In the high school race, the boys’ team finished in third place overall.

CHS junior Evan McAninch finished in 11th place, at 20:22. Ian McAninch, also a junior, finished in 14th place, at 20:47.

Chase Hord, a seventh-grader, took home 18th place, at 21:12, which is a new personal record.

CHS freshman Jonathan Sparks finished in 20th place, at 21:57.

And Jake Dicken, a freshman, finished 22nd, in 22:29, which is a new personal record.

In the girls’ race, CHS sophomore Gracyne Hash finished in 13th place, at 26:35.

CHS cross country runners will compete again on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. at Miller Park walking track.
