Football · CHS football team takes on Beechwood in state semi-finals game

Campbellsville High School football team ended its historic season on Friday, Nov. 24, with a game against Beechwood.

CHS battled hard, but couldn’t get the win in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association semi-finals match up.

Final score was 7-63.

CHS senior Devonte Cubit scored for the Eagles, and senior Bryce Richardson’s kick was good for the extra point.

Cubit led his team in tackles, with nine.

CHS ends its season with a 7-7 record, and making school history.

This is the first time since 1998 and only the third time in school history that the Eagles played in the state semi-finals.

CHS was the Class A Region 1 District 2 champs, along with Class A Region 1 champions.

Before the game, CHS hosted a tailgate for students, staff members and fans.

CHS coaches and football alumni were interviewed during the tailgate for a live show.

Dale Estes is the CHS head football coach.
