Boys Varsity Basketball · CHS boys’ basketball team finishes Holiday Classic as runners-up

Campbellsville High School boys’ basketball team hosted the Holiday Classic recently, and finished the tournament as runners-up.

In the first round, CHS defeated Carlisle County by a score of 92-64.

In the second round, CHS defeated Gallatin County a score of 54-46.

And, in the game to capture the championship title, CHS lost a very close game to Bardstown by a score of 58-59.

CHS seniors Connor Wilson and Chanson Atkinson and junior Taj Sanders were named to the all-tournament team.

The junior varsity team will host LaRue County on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 6 p.m. at the CHS gym, followed by a varsity game.

CHS freshman and junior varsity teams will take on Taylor County on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m. at the TCHS gym.

Tim Davis is in his 23rd year as CHS boys’ basketball head coach.

Assistant coaches are Cody Wills, Will Griffin, Chris “Scoop” Smith and Chris “Peewee” Smith.
