Campbellsville High School fishing team competed in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association region tournament on Saturday, April 21, at Green River Lake.
CHS seniors Bryce Richardson and Connor Wilson finished 27th, catching four fish, weighing 7 pounds and 14 ounces.
Caleb Hughes and Tosye Cox, seniors, finished in 37th place, catching four fish that weighed 5 pounds and 12 ounces.
CHS freshman Jake Dicken and Campbellsville Middle School seventh-grader Chase Hord earned 49th place, catching one fish that weighed 3 pounds and 3 ounces.
And CHS senior Devonte Cubit and Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Dakota Harris caught one fish, weighing 2 pounds and 1 ounce, which earned them 55th place.
About 85 teams competed.
In Region 3, CHS competes against Barren, Boyle, Casey, Cumberland, Jackson County, Lincoln, Marion, Monroe, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Taylor and Wayne counties, Corbin, Danville, Knox Central, Lynn Camp, North Laurel, Somerset, South Laurel and Southwestern.
The CHS fishing team will compete again on Saturday, April 28, at Green River Lake.
