Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · CHS baseball team defeats Meade County

Campbellsville High School baseball team recently defeated Meade County.

Final score was 11-1.

The Eagles scored five runs in the first inning.

CHS sophomore Noah Hughes pitched a five-inning complete game, striking out six.

Treyce Mattingly, a junior, led the Eagles with three hits and two RBIs.

CHS seniors Wyatt Houk and Ethan Lay, juniors Ryan Kearney and Lane Bottoms, sophomore Brennon Wheeler and freshman John Orberson all had hits.

Wheeler and Houk each had three RBIs on the night.

In the junior varsity game, CHS fought hard, but couldn’t get the win. Final score was 0-3.

CHS baseball team travels to Glasgow on Monday, May 14, and will host Washington County on Tuesday, May 15. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
