Boys Varsity Golf · CHS boys’ golf team is runner-up in Heartland Conference


Campbellsville High School boys’ golf team is the runner-up in this year’s Heartland Conference tournament.

CHS competed in Green County on Monday, Sept. 10.

The team finished in 330 strokes.

Layton Hord, a senior, finished in 72 strokes, and was runner-up in the individual competition.

He was also named to the all-conference team.

CHS sophomore Kameron Smith had 80 strokes.

Myles Murrell, also a senior, finished in 87 strokes. His classmate Casey Hardin had 91 strokes.

And sophomore Colin Harris finished in 99 strokes.

CHS competed against Green, Marion, Adair, Washington and Taylor counties.

Blake Milby is in his first year as the CHS golf coach.

The team will compete at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 15.
