Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · CHS cross country team wins at Heartland Conference meet

Campbellsville High School cross country team took home several honors at the Heartland Conference meet on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

In the varsity boys’ race, which is 3.1 miles, senior Ian McAninch finished in 11th place, at 20:45.

Jake Dicken, a sophomore, finished in 18th place, in 23:22.

In the varsity girls’ race, freshman Serenity Ford finished in 18th place, at 29:53.

Runners fared well in the 1.6-mile middle school race.

Rowan Petett, a Campbellsville Middle School sixth-grader, finished in 13th place, at 12:15.

Baylee Pike, a fourth-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School, was 8th place, finishing in 13:13.

And in the elementary school 1.1-mile race, CES third-grader Izzy Brunelle finished in 8th place, at 10:04.

Tye Rhodes, a fourth-grader, was fifth overall, finishing in 10:40.

The team will compete again on Thursday, Oct. 18, in the annual Campbellsville Last Chance All Comers Meet at the Miller Park walking track.
