Campbellsville High School football team battled Beechwood recently to end its season.

The CHS team played in the KHSAA state semi-finals on Friday, Nov. 23, against Beechwood for the second year in a row.

CHS fought hard, but couldn’t get the win.

Final score was 13-48.

Malachi Corley, a junior, and sophomore Reggie Thomas scored touchdowns for the Eagles.

The loss ends the historic season for the Eagles.

CHS defeated Crittenden County on Friday, Nov. 16, in the third round of state playoffs to win its second region championship in a row.

This is the first time the Eagles have won the region championship on their home field, and the first time the team has won a region championship in back-to-back years.

The region championship win is the fourth in program history.

Dale Estes is the CHS head football coach.

Assistant coaches are Herb Wiseman, Tyler Hardy, Robbie Gribbins, Bronson Gowdy, Aaron Webb, Will Griffin, Anthony Epps, Ries Ewing and D.J. Moore.
