Boys Varsity Basketball · CHS boys’ basketball team hosts Holiday Classic


Campbellsville High School boys’ basketball team recently hosted its annual Holiday Classic, and finished in fifth place.

In the first round, CHS lost to Casey County by a score of 71-60.

In the first round of the consolation bracket, CHS took on Grayson County and won by a score of 61-50.

And in the last round, the CHS team defeated Madison Southern in a close game. Final score was 70-64.

Elizabethtown High School won the Holiday Classic, defeating Washington County in the championship game.

The CHS junior varsity and varsity teams will travel to LaRue County on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

On Friday, Jan. 4, the team will take on Taylor County in a girls’ and boys’ doubleheader, starting at 6 p.m. at the TCHS campus.

Tim Davis is in his 24th year as CHS boys’ basketball head coach.

Assistant coaches are Cody Wills, Will Griffin, Chris “Scoop” Smith, Chris “Peewee” Smith and Jordan Ballard.
