Campbellsville High School track teams competed in the KHSAA state meet on Thursday, May 30, at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
CHS senior Natalie Caldwell advanced to state competition in shot put and discus throw after her performance at this year’s region meet.
At state, Caldwell was 10th in discus and 22nd in shot.
The boys’ 4×100 and 4×200 teams also advanced to state after region competition.
In the 4×100 race, the team was 20th at state.
Runners were seniors Davon Cecil, Charlie Pettigrew and Daesean Van Cleave and junior Malachi Corley.
And in the 4×200 race, the team finished 23rd.
Runners were Pettigrew, Van Cleave, senior Joe Pipes and sophomore Reggie Thomas.
CHS seniors Evan McAninch and Tristan Johnson were alternates for the races.
Katie Wilkerson and Steve Doss are the CHS track coaches.
Malique Spaulding and Tyler Abney are assistants.
