Boys Varsity Baseball · CHS baseball team hosts youth camp


Campbellsville High School baseball team recently hosted its annual youth camp.

The camp was for children ages 7 to 12.

About 20 attended.

Campers learned fundamentals such as hitting, throwing, infield and outfield play and base running.

CHS baseball head coach Blake Milby and his staff members hosted the camp, along with CHS players.

After three days of camp, coaches rewarded the campers for their hard work.

Each received a t-shirt.

In the 7- and 8-year-old division, the following awards were presented.

Base Running – Tyce Owens, a second-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.

Hitting – Landry Brown, a first-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.

Throwing – Kennon Davis, a second-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.

AAIT – Ayden Stagner, a second-grader at Green County Primary School.

AAIT stands for Attitude, Approach, Intensity and Toughness, and is the CHS baseball motto.

In the 9- to 12-year-old division, the following awards were presented.

Base Running – Carson Mills, a fifth-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.

Throwing – Silas Young, a fifth-grader at Taylor County Elementary School.

Hitting – Lanigan Price, a fourth-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.

AAIT – Stephen Green, a fourth-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.
