Boys Varsity Basketball · CHS boys’ basketball team hosts youth camp

Campbellsville High School boys’ basketball team recently hosted a youth camp, with about 20 attending.

Camp was open to students who will be in third through eighth grades next school year.

Campers learned the basic fundamentals of basketball, along with discipline and a strong work ethic.

There were daily shooting and fundamental contests.

Overall award winners are as follow.

Third and Fourth Grades

Free Throw award – Campbellsville Elementary School third-grader Grif Thomas.

Spot Shooting award – CES third-grader Grif Thomas.

Fifth and Sixth Grades

Free Throw award – CES sixth-grader Easton Williams.

Spot Shooting award – CES sixth-grader Keaton Hord.

Seventh and Eighth Grades

Free Throw award – Campbellsville Middle School seventh-grader KeKe Miller.

Spot Shooting – CMS seventh-grader KeKe Miller.

Ila Loy received the Coach Epps award for being coachable, having a positive attitude, coming to camp to work hard and always doing what she was asked.

CES fifth-grader Jaron Johnson received the Coaches Camper award.

Anthony Epps will soon begin his first season as the CHS boys’ basketball head coach.
