Campbellsville High School boys’ golf team recently competed in the All “A” fifth region championship, and, as a result, one player has advanced to the All “A” state tournament.
The region tournament was Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Maywood Country Club.
CHS battled Green County and Bethlehem.
CHS finished in third place, with 444 strokes.
CHS sophomore Colin Harris shot a 94 on the day, which, as the top player for his team, qualifies him to compete in the All “A” state tournament.
Kameron Smith, a junior, shot a 102.
Tristan Faulkner, also a junior, had 109 strokes, and senior Gavin Johnson shot a 139.
The All “A” state tournament is set for Saturday, Sept. 7, at Gibson Bay Golf Course in Richmond.
Blake Milby is in his second year as the boys’ golf team coach.
The team will travel to take on Bardstown on Monday, Aug. 19.
