CHS volleyball team to host tailgate, students eat free

Campbellsville High School volleyball team will host a tailgate before Friday night’s football game, with all students eating free. The tailgate will begin at 6 p.m. at the CHS stadium pavilion. On the menu will be a choice of pork shoulder, tenderloin or pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, chips, drinks and dessert. Cost is $5.

Campbellsville High School volleyball team recently blanked Metcalfe County. CHS won by scores of 2-0 in the junior varsity and varsity matchups. Junior varsity set scores were 21-16 and 21-15. And varsity set scores were 25-13 and 25-10. CHS team will host Taylor County on Monday, Aug. 27. The freshman game begins at 5:30 p.m.

Campbellsville High School recently blanked Russell and Casey counties to open the season. CHS traveled to Russell County on Thursday, Aug. 16, and swept the freshman, junior varsity and varsity games by scores of 2-0. In the home opener on Monday, Aug. 20, the CHS team blanked Casey County in freshman, JV and varsity games.
